
In the context of her visit to the Gulfood International Fair that takes place in Dubai, the Executive Director of PROPANAMA, Carmen Gisela Vergara, in her capacity as General Expo Commissioner, signed the contract that formalizes the participation of the Republic of Panama in Dubai World Expo 2020, which will be inaugurated on 30 September and will run until 31 March 2022. On behalf of the United Arab Emirates, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for International Development Affairs, Sultan Al Shamsi, initialed the document.
Panama will take advantage of this space as a platform to offer the attraction of its history, economy, gastronomy, tourism and services to the millions of people who will visit the site and at the same time, it will be the ideal opportunity to attract investment to the country and thereby strengthen the business sectors; It will also promote Panamanian export-quality products. Promoted as “the largest event ever held in the Arab world”, World Expo Dubai will welcome 190 participating countries and millions of visitors from around the world. On this occasion, the United Arab Emirates selected: “Connecting minds, Creating the Future”, as its central motto.
