Attendance at the official launching of EXPOCOMER 2022

Delegations from 16 countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia have already confirmed their participation.

The 38th edition of EXPOCOMER, "showcase of world trade", will be held from March 23 to 26, 2022 at the new Amador Convention Center, the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama announced yesterday.

After two years of being suspended due to the pandemic, José Ramón Icaza, president of the CCIAP said that once again it is looking to promote business tourism, exhibitions and international events that are a fundamental part of the country's economic reactivation.

EXPOCOMER is the main multi-sector fair in Latin America, which during previous events has generated great contributions to the local economy.

The trade show organized by the businessmen's guild since 1983 is preparing to receive more than 20 countries from the Americas, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, which will attend this event to present their products and services. South Korea, Costa Rica, China, Taiwan, India, Turkey, the United States, Portugal, Mexico, El Salvador, Peru, Africa, Argentina, Hungary, Poland and Colombia have already confirmed their attendance.

During the last three years, before the pandemic, EXPOCOMER had an average of $131 million in transactions and an economic flow of more than $42 million each year, said De la Guardia. An average of 16,000 tourists were received each year during the trade event.

For his part, the administrator of the Tourism Authority, Iván Eskildsen acknowledged the efforts of Cciap in organizing this fair, which contributes to the promotion of the country and supports the economic reactivation effort.

The countries that will participate in the multi-sector fair will be distributed in pavilions within the convention center that will house companies with products in the categories of food, beverages and agricultural products; textiles, clothing and accessories; technology and electronics.
