Visit of BVMW delegates
Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Germany

PROPANAMA together with the Ministry of the Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and AHK Panama (Panamanian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry) organized a visit of delegates of the BVMW, the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Germany, to our country. The visit took place from June 26 to July 4, and its main objective was to show Panama as a place with great potential for German investors and businessmen.
The agenda was divided into a series of conferences organized in the Bolivar Palace, in the Chancellery, among them was the important participation of great representative figures of Panamanian politics, among which are mentioned: H.E. Ramon Martinez, Minister of Commerce and Industries, H.E. Martina Klumpp, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, H.E. Martina Klumpp, Ambassador of the Republic of Germany. Martina Klumpp, Ambassador of Germany in Panama, H.E. José Alejandro Rojas, Minister Counselor of Private Investment Facilitation, José Ramón Icaza Clement, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and Denise Guillén Zúñiga, Deputy Administrator of the Panama Tourism Authority.
The two-day conference ended with a small Meet & Greet in the Father Fernando Guardia Jaén Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where both parties were able to share experiences and learn about our distinctive culture.
Following up on the activities in subsequent days, the delegation was accompanied to visit the facilities of our Colon Free Zone, where they exchanged with the management team and discussed issues for the attraction of foreign direct investment to Panama. They also visited the locks of Colon and its port, specifically the cargo area.
