COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED

The Authority for Investment Attraction and Export Promotion (PROPANAMA), signed a framework cooperation agreement with the Metropolitan University of Education, Science and Technology, SA (UMECIT) that promotes the establishment of training programmes for joint activities in areas related to foreign trade.

For the General Administrator of PROPANAMA, Carmen Gisela Vergara, this alliance will provide mutual benefits and also represents a great opportunity to strengthen the knowledge of its employees, while promoting joint research, such as current issues involving the management of a supply chain, given the recent conflict between Russia and Ukraine, among others. 

According to the maximum authority of the UMECIT José Alberto Nieto Rojas, the agreement signed between both parts, will be of great utility since it will allow to increase shared benefits, to promote research projects; and to its students, it adds an added value as to count for the future with an institution that offers them the opportunity to carry out their professional practices; besides being able to offer to the officials of PROPANAMA, the opportunity to study careers related to their functions.

The agreement was signed at PROPANAMA's facilities. Also present for UMECIT University were Carlos Eduardo Martínez, coordinator of internationalisation, its legal advisor Rosa Idali Castañeda González and on behalf of our institution the general secretary, Lourdes Pérez.

The agreement also provides for cooperation in the organisation of conferences on topics of common interest and for the publication of scientific and commercial articles, scientific and educational papers and the results of joint activities.
