The former vice-chancellor of the Republic served as director of PROPANAMA, during the period 1994-1998 and represented a fundamental figure for the development and exposure of our country internationally. "Dicky", as he was nicknamed by those close to him, stood out for promoting Panama's various benefits in terms of trade and the arts, among others.
With a privileged mind, Mr. "Dicky" contributed with his contacts and dynamics to the promotion of the region, leaving immeasurable legacies such as the establishment of the new home of the Museum of Contemporary Art (1983).
For this reason, PROPANAMA, decided to give him an insignia through a room in honour of his name, the meeting room Ricardo "Dicky Durán". It has a plaque and a photograph in recognition of his work and is located in the central offices of PROPANAMA.
