Panama gifted a book collection to the library "House of Wisdom"
The Panama pavilion gifted Sharjah's "House of Wisdom" library with a collection of more than 50 titles that won the Ricardo Miró literature award, as well as a book on Panamanian specialty coffee and a collection of books on the Panama Canal. Panama.

Panama received more than 500 thousand visitors at Expo 2020 Dubai
The Panama pavilion received throughout the 6 months of Expo 2020 Dubai, more than 500 thousand visitors from more than countries.
80% of the visitors were foreigners, so the majority were from different parts of the world.
More than half a million people were able to learn more about the culture, history, products and opportunities in Panama.

Panama Participation at Global Business Forum LATAM
The general administrator and commissioner of the Panama pavilion, Carmen Gisela Vergara, was the representative of Panama in the Global Business Forum focused on the Latin American region organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.
The forum took place at the Expo 2020 Dubai facilities, in what is the Dubai Exhibition Centre, where important authorities from the entire LATAM market as well as from the United Arab Emirates and the Arabian Gulf region met.

The Panama pavilion team joined forces with PROPANAMA for the representation of Panama at Gulfood, the world's largest food and hospitality fair.
Aligned with one of our main objectives, which is to promote exports, PROPANAMA sponsored the participation of Panamanian companies in Gulfood for the first time.The Panama pavilion provided support in the commercial, logistics and administration and entertainment areas with a typical presentation at the opening of the stand.

From words to actions- “Without Labels” - International Day of Persons with Disabilities. On December 3, Expo 2020 Dubai commemorates the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Tolerance and Inclusiveness Week
Among the emblematic events that Panama participated during the thematic week, one of them will be recorded in history: “Te Aratini: Festival of Indigenous and Tribal Ideas”. It is the first indigenous festival in a world exposition and the first indigenous-led global initiative to be used as a commercial platform.
It was organized and sponsored by the New Zealand Pavilion, and inaugurated by its Chancellor, Minister Mahuta. Panama also participated in the “World Majlis: The Compassion Business” (November 16, 2021) part of the People and Planet Program of Expo 2020 Dubai.

National Day
Expo 2020 Dubai dedicated an entire day to honor Panama. The day of the National Day began with the arrival of the Panamanian delegation to Expo 2020 Dubai, headed by the Minister of Commerce and Industries, S. E. Ramón E. Martínez de la Guardia, the Minister of Culture, H.E. Carlos Aguilar, the Vice Minister of Tourism, H.E. Denise Guillén, the Ambassador of Panama to the UAE, H.E. Ricardo Laviery, the General Commissioner of Expo 2020 Dubai and Executive Director of PROPANAMA, H.E. Carmen Gisela Vergara, and the Pabellón Director, H.S. Any Lam Chong, who were received by the official delegation of the United Arab Emirates.

In conjunction with the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, who attended on behalf of the Ministry of the Presidency, the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP) and in the company of private sector organizations: PROMTOUR Panama and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), we attended the formal invitation granted by Expo 2020 Dubai and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates to attend the National Day of Panama and in turn carry out a series of activities to promote opportunities investment and the Panamanian exportable supply in the UAE.

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, the Pavilion of the Republic of Panama held its first conference, "Panama: Preserving the hidden gem of global biodiversity" within the framework of the Climate and Biodiversity Week of Expo 2020 Dubai in the Terra Auditorium of the impressive Sustainability Pavilion.

Expo 2020 Dubai Inauguration
One year later than expected, but with higher expectations, the Dubai EXPO opened its doors on October 1. The world's first General Exhibition of more than four square kilometers, where visitors will be able to choose between exhibitions from almost two hundred countries.
Panama is one of the few Latin American countries that has its own exhibition in said event, which will have an exhibition of around six (6) months, sharing space with more than 200 countries.
Panama will take advantage of this space as a platform to offer the attraction of its history, economy, gastronomy, tourism and services to the more than 25 million people who will visit the site.
